The Upshur County FFA Chapter announced that seven members received their American FFA Degrees at the 98th National FFA Convention, according to a post from Upshur County FFA Alumni & Supporters.
The honorees are McKinley Bonnett, Corbin George, Dakota Cowger, Emily Evans, Issac Kimble, Kari Gay, and Bryce Cogar.
According to the announcement, the American FFA Degree is awarded to members who demonstrate years of hard work, leadership development, and dedication to their Supervised Agricultural Experience projects, including earning and investing at least $10,000.
Recipients must also show outstanding academic and leadership growth, complete at least 50 hours of community service, and display a strong commitment to agriculture.
