With the goal of redefining the traditional golf experience with a loud and lighthearted twist, Stonewall Resort will host Happy Caddie & the Gopher, a two-day extravaganza promising outrageous swings, bold outfits, and nonstop fun both on and off the golf course. The event is set for August 22-23.

“Don’t miss out on this unique celebration of golf culture with a playful twist,” said Andre’ D’Amour, resort general manager. “Whether you’re a die-hard fan of Caddyshack and Happy Gilmore or just looking for a weekend packed with fun and great food, Happy Caddie & the Gopher is the place to be.”

A Weekend Like No Other: Golf with a Twist

Guests should prepare for a weekend filled with unique challenges and spirited competition. The festivities kick off on Friday, August 22, at 5:00 PM, as the driving range transforms into a lively, tailgate-style playground. Participants can test their skills by blasting balls at junkyard targets, sinking shots into trash cans, or even tagging the range picker — all for a chance to win prizes.

The Smoker food truck will serve up delicious eats, complemented by a cash bar featuring refreshing Absolut Lemonade cocktails. Live music and great vibes will keep the energy high as light towers illuminate the range, setting the scene for an unforgettable night under the stars.

Attendees are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite characters from Caddyshack or Happy Gilmore — whether that’s a wisecracking caddie, an unhinged groundskeeper, or a country club villain with attitude.

Saturday’s laid-back scramble & Smokehouse BBQ

Saturday begins with a hearty breakfast at Stillwaters Restaurant before teaming up for a relaxed two-person scramble tournament. Prizes will be awarded for best dressed, top team scores, and various on-course contests.

The day concludes with a mouthwatering Smokehouse BBQ buffet from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, offering expertly prepared dishes in a welcoming, communal atmosphere — the perfect way to unwind after a day of spirited competition.

All-Inclusive Weekend Package

The weekend package that includes: two-night stay at the serene lakeside lodge, two all-access event tickets, two buckets of balls for Friday night’s range challenges, two entries into Saturday’s scramble tournament, breakfast at Stillwaters Restaurant, and Smokehouse BBQ buffet dinner.
