My Buckhannon is proud to present another spring season of the Hank Ellis All-Stars. Each week, we will select a male and female athlete at Buckhannon-Upshur who has had an exemplary week on the baseball or softball diamond, the track, the lacrosse field or the tennis courts.

Our Hank Ellis All-Stars for the week of April 14 – April 20 are Landon Marple and Becca Pastorius.

Marple is a senior on the Buccaneer baseball team. Marple had quite the week for the Bucs at the plate in a busy week of six games.

His week was highlighted by a two-home run and six RBI performance in a 20-10 win over Elkins. Overall, in the six games, he hit .411 (7-for-17), scored six runs, drove in 10, and hit four home runs.

Pastorious is a sophomore on the Lady Buc softball team. In a 2-1 week for B-U, she earned both of the victories in the circle. She went all seven innings in a 9-8 win over Bridgeport, allowing just three earned runs while striking out five, then threw a complete game in a 13-7 win over Elkins, giving up three earned runs while fanning seven. She also pitched 3 1/3 innings against Lewis and struck out three

At the plate during the week, she hit .571, scoring five runs and knocking in three, including hitting a home run against Lewis County.
