The Fred Brooks Garden Club has announced the winners of its August Yards of the Month awards. The awards recognize local gardens that demonstrate exceptional beauty and care.

The Business Yard of the Month honor was awarded to Buckhannon Medical Care, located at 11 N. Locust Street.

In Precinct 1, the winners were Ron and Sandy Williams, who reside at 17 East Lincoln Street. Precinct 2 saw the Mathias Residence at 37 Lincoln Way claiming the title.

Joyce Edgell at 126 Barbour Street was recognized in Precinct 3. Linda Kelley, living at 202 Randolph Street, took home the distinction for Precinct 4.

Finally, the winners for Precinct 5 were Delmas and Mary Marks. Their residence is at 10 Upshur Avenue.
