Jessica Luff is WV Living Magazine’s Champion of Care

Broaddus Hospital RN Jessica Luff has been named a Champion of Care in the Spring 2024 WV Living Magazine.

PHILIPPI — Broaddus Hospital is proud to announce that Jessica Luff, LPN, has been named a Champion of Care by WV Living Magazine. “Champions of Care” are recognized for their exceptional compassion and dedication to patient care.

Luff was chosen from a pool of West Virginia nurses nominated by their peers.

“We are thrilled to celebrate Jessica’s recognition as a Champion of Care,” said Dana Gould, Broaddus Hospital CEO. “Her compassionate service embodies the core values of our hospital, and we are incredibly proud to have her as part of our nursing team.”

Luff is a Barbour County native and works as a nurse in the Broaddus Emergency Department.  While working full-time, she is also earning her BSN, with an anticipated graduation in May of this year.

“I love nursing and taking care of people,” Luff said. “I cared for my grandmother, helping to manage her diabetes and dialysis treatments. I think that’s when I really became interested in becoming a nurse.”

“I am humbled and honored for this recognition,” she added.

The WV Living Champions of Care article is featured in the WV Living Healthy Spring 2024 edition of the magazine.

Vandalia Health is proud to announce that nurses from both CAMC and Mon Health Medical Center were also named Champions of Care alongside Broaddus Hospital’s Jessica Luff, LPN. The Champions of Care of Vandalia Health are David Belcher and Maggie Burhan, Mon Health Medical Center; Mackenzie Casto, CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital; Audrey Skeen, CAMC Memorial Hospital; Melissa Miller, CAMC Outpatient Surgery.
