BUCKHANNON – My Buckhannon is proud to present another edition of the Hank Ellis All-Stars. Each week, we will select a female and male athlete at Buckhannon-Upshur who has had an exemplary week on the baseball and softball diamonds, the track and field, the lacrosse field, or the tennis courts.
Our Hank Ellis All-Stars for the week of March 25 – March 31 are Drake Davis and Mia Sappey.
Davis is a senior on the Buccaneer track and field team. At a home meet last week, he won two individual events, the 100-meters and 200-meters, and was part of two first-place relay teams, the 4×100-meter relay team and the 4×400-meter relay team.
Sappey is a senior on the Lady Buc track and field team. At the home meet, she won the 800-meter event and was part of the first-place 4×400-meter relay team. She also took second in the 1600-meter race and was part of the second-place 4×400-meter relay team.
Congratulations to Davis and Sappey as our weekly winners of the Hank Ellis All-Stars honor.
