Election Update: With one day left to file, here are the latest local candidate filings as of January 26

BUCKHANNON — The candidate filing period for the May 14, 2024, Primary Election ends Saturday, Jan. 27. Buckhannon City Hall and the Upshur County Courthouse will stay open from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday for candidates to file. If a candidate files through the mail, it must be postmarked by 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 27.

As of Friday afternoon, January 26, here are the filings for the Upshur County and City of Buckhannon offices up for election:
