BUCKHANNON — The City of Buckhannon urges all residents to exercise caution during this current winter weather event.

They would also like to remind all residents that per Ordinance 193, abutting property owners are responsible for sidewalk maintenance, including removal and clearing of all snow and ice that accumulates on sidewalks abutting or adjoining their premises.  As always, when clearing the sidewalks of snow, ice, leaves or debris, be sure to properly dispose of the debris.  Do not sweep it into the gutter or street.

Together, we can keep our sidewalks clear and residents safe.
