Buckhannon River Paddlers to hold free Halloween community paddle on Saturday, October 28

BUCKHANNON — Join the Buckhannon River Paddlers for a free community paddle on Saturday, October 28 at 10:30 a.m. starting at the Buckhannon Riverwalk Park Boat Ramp. 

They will have FREE kayak rentals available (pre-registration required)! Please use this form to reserve a kayak: tinyurl.com/spookypaddle. No pre-reservation is required if you plan on bringing your own boat.   

Paddle-friendly costumes are welcome. Life jackets are required for each paddler. 

The group will meet at the Riverwalk Park Boat Launch, paddle upstream for approximately an hour, then turn around and return to Riverwalk Park. No shuttles are required. 

Thanks to Try This WV, the Buckhannon River Watershed Association and Trubie Run Outfitters for providing free kayaks for community members.
