BUCKHANNON — As it was in the middle of September, the West Virginia Wesleyan College men’s soccer team drew even, 0-0, with Concord University who visited Culpepper Stadium Sunday afternoon.
Two late season, well-rounded teams took the pitch and battled for 90 minutes in a match that teetered back and forth. Wesleyan had several chances at goal with 14 shots but was unable to get them past the Concord defense and goalkeeper Keegan Grant.
In the final minutes, both Wesleyan keeper Logan Nelson and Grant made incredible, leaping one-handed punch saves to keep their teams alive.
The Bobcats remain in fifth place (14 points) in the MEC standings and are tied at that spot with West Liberty to whom they lost 2-1 on the first of October. A rematch is slated for Oct. 29 in Buckhannon.

Next for Wesleyan is Frostburg State University. The Bobcats will host the Bobcats Wednesday at Culpepper Stadium for a 4 p.m. start.
