Carolyn S. Gregory

Carolyn S. Gregory, age 71, of Goshen, WV died unexpectedly on Saturday, September 16, 2023.

She was born in Painesville, OH on March 12, 1952, a daughter of the late William and Alice Caudell.

On August 8, 1970, she married the love of her life Carles Gregory who survives. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her brothers: William Caudell, Kenneth Caudell and James Caudell; and one sister, Sandra Caudell.

Forever cherishing their memories of Carolyn’s generous nature are four children: Sue Gregory of Holiday, FL, Diana Exline of Orange City, FL, Joseph Gregory of Rock Cave, WV, and Alice Moffett-Dziak and husband, Jason, of Buckhannon, WV; eleven grandchildren: Jaime Wilfong, Thomas Wilfong and Brandee Connelly all of Holiday, FL, Savannah Connelly and fiancé, Brenden, of Dilliner, PA, Breannah Connelly and fiancé, Josh, and Sara Prieto and husband, Randy, all of Charleston, WV, Jessica Bennington and husband, Eddie, of Rock Cave, WV, Adam Heater of Buckhannon, WV, Tiffany Hewlett of Eustis, FL, Matthew Moffett and fiancée, Kylie, of Clarksburg, WV, and Kylea Moffett of Buckhannon, WV; eight great grandchildren: Da’Marcus Prieto, Wesley Bennington, Jeremiah Bennington, Dominik Heater, Brayden Hewlett, Arianna Hewlett, Octavia Hewlett and Liberty Hewlett; two great grandsons who are soon to be born; sister Sharon Mather of Thompson, OH; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mrs. Gregory enjoyed spending time with all of her family and friends and will be very missed by all. She was an avid cook, seamstress, and quilter and has created may cherished items for family and members of the community. She enjoyed going to luncheons with her local ladies’ group and getting a good bargain at a yard sale, as well as reading a good book that she couldn’t put down. She also was a lover of her many dogs and cats and any animal could find a home with her.

Family and friends will gather for Visitation at Clutter Funeral and Cremation located at 21 Elnora Circle in Buckhannon from 11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2023. A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
