FAIRMONT — The Mountain East Conference announced Monday the winners of this week’s Cross Country Runner of the Week awards. The weekly awards are presented by The Health Plan.

Point Park’s Luke McKenna is the MEC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week, while West Virginia Wesleyan’s Lindsey Dillon is the MEC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week. 

McKenna, a senior from Lexington, South Carolina took first place at the Kutztown DII/DIII Challenge with a time of 25:42.1. McKenna led Point Park to a first place team finish. 

Dillon, a junior from Dunkirk, Maryland, earned 20th out of 126 with a time of 23:33.8 at the RMU Colonial Cross Country Invitational. Dillon took first out of all MEC competition at the race.
