BUCKHANNON, West Virginia – West Virginia Wesleyan College School of Nursing’s passage rate on the West Virginia National Council Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX) stands at 90 percent for the Class of 2022, continuing a long tradition of high achievement for WVWC Bachelors of Science in Nursing graduates.
The NCLEX is a standardized test that every state regulatory board used to determine if a candidate is ready to become licensed as an entry-level nurse. WVWC’s School of Nursing graduated 21 in the BSN Program for the Class of 2022.
WVWC’s School of Nursing received $1 million through West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice’s Nursing Workforce Expansion Program, which is designed to address the state’s nursing shortage through a multifaceted approach to attract, train, and retain nurses in the Mountain State.
The School of Nursing has created a Nursing Advantage Program and invested in state-of-the-art equipment to improve student experiences including technology, lab equipment, and transportation to clinical sites. The investment also directly benefited up to 60 pre-nursing majors who enrolled in WVWC for fall 2022.
Wesleyan’s BSN program is fully approved by the West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered Nurses.
