Former State Senator Clark Barnes joins Orion Strategies

Charleston, W.aV. – Orion Strategies, a strategic communications and public relations firm with offices in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Washington, D.C., is pleased to announce the addition of Clark Barnes as Senior Manager, Government Affairs in the Charleston office.

Barnes joins Orion Strategies with several years of experience having served as State Senator for the 11th and 15th Senatorial Districts of West Virginia. During his tenure as a state senator Barnes served as the Republican Whip, having a reputation for working closely with both sides of the aisle. Following his service as Senator, Barnes was elected as the Clerk and Administrator of the Senate working closely with Presidents Bill Cole and Mitch Carmichael.

“I’ve known several individuals on the Orion team and consider it an honor to join them in serving the needs of clients throughout West Virginia and the surrounding region,” Barnes commented.

Barnes has varied experience having directed one of West Virginia’s largest hearing healthcare firms with 16 locations. He serves as President of Heritage Hills Development Corporation and was appointed by Governor Jim Justice in 2021 to the Board of Directors of the West Virginia Economic Development Authority.
