BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — The Water Department has announced that Madison Street will be closed, from Florida Street to Spring Street, all day Thursday, December 1, 2022, and Friday, December 2, 2022, as crews work on the new Madison Street property development. Two Buckhannon parks closed for at least 30 days for sanitization

North Buckhannon Riverfront Park and Jawbone Park will remain closed for at least 30 days for sanitization following last month’s flooding. Other parks and the Riverwalk Trail remain open. Upshur County’s registered sanitarian is also working to get restaurants, hotels back open.
