Five Lady Bucs earn Region I soccer honors

TENNERTON – Five Buckhannon-Upshur Lady Bucs were named to the 2022 WVHSSCA Girls Region I soccer team.

Chloe Cale was a First Team selection while Ava Hollen, Hannah Boyles, Allison Andrew and Kyndal Davis were named to the Second Team.

Cale, a senior, was named to the First Team as a forward. She tallied four goals and four assists for the Lady Bucs.

Hollen, a junior, was selected as a forward. She led the team with 16 goals and six assists.

Bolyes was selected as a midfielder as a sophomore. She tallied four goals and one assist.

Andrew was a defensive selection as a junior. She didn’t record any offensive statistics from her defensive center back position.

Davis was named as a keeper as a junior. Davis made 158 saves while recording nine shutouts.

Morgantown swept the individual Region I honors as Gracie Brown as named as the Player of the Year while her coach Stirlin Rivers was tabbed as Coach of the Year.
