BUCKHANNON – My Buckhannon is proud to present another edition of the Hank Ellis All-Stars. Each week we will select a female and male athlete at Buckhannon-Upshur that has had an exemplary week on the football field, soccer field, volleyball court or the cross country course.
Our Hank Ellis All-Stars for the week of September 18 – September 24 are Jordan Gillum and Kyndal Davis.
Gillum is a senior on the Buccaneer cross country team. He outran 106 other performers to win the Bearcat Invitational.
Gillum was the only runner to finish the race in less than 17 minutes with a time of 16:56. He helped lead the Bucs to a second-place finish out of 11 teams.
Davis is a junior keeper on the Lady Buc soccer team. She helped the Lady Bucs to two wins last week posting a pair of shutouts against East Fairmont and Grafton.
She turned away four shots in the East Fairmont win and made three saves against Grafton.
Congratulations to Gillum and Davis as our weekly winners of the Hank Ellis All-Stars honor.
