Unidentified elderly female body found on Clover Fork Road in Lewis County

On Monday, July 18, 2022, at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Clover Fork Road, an unidentified body was found by neighbors walking by, according to a press release from the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. The unidentified body appeared to have been there for three to four weeks.

The crime scene was accessed and the unidentified body was sent to Charleston for an examination, which determined the body to be an elderly female. The sheriff’s office was assisted by the W.Va. State Police.
