This week’s Hank Ellis All-Stars: Caden Andrick and Dezi Pugh

BUCKHANNON – My Buckhannon is proud to present another edition of the Hank Ellis All-Stars. We will select a female and male athlete at Buckhannon-Upshur that has had an exemplary week on the baseball or softball diamond, the tennis courts, the track and field or the lacrosse field.

Our Hank Ellis All-Stars for the week of May 1 – May 8 are Caden Andrick and Dezi Pugh.

Andrick is a senior on the Buckhannon-Upshur tennis team.

Andrick earned two berths into this week’s state tournament at the Region I Championships at Moundsville at Wheeling.

Andrick will represent Buckhannon-Upshur at the state tournament in No. 2 singles action and at No. 1 doubles along with teammate Aden Pitts.

Pugh is a junior on the Buckhannon-Upshur track and field team.

At the Big 10 Conference Championships, Pugh won a conference title in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 47.79.

She also took second as part of the 4×200-meter relay team and third as part of the 4×102.5-meter relay team and placed third individually in the 100-meter hurdles.

Congratulations to Andrick and Pugh as our weekly winners of the Hank Ellis All-Stars honor.
