BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — The seedings and pairings for the 2022 Mountain East Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament presented by The Health Plan have been finalized after the conclusion of Saturday’s play.

The top 10 teams qualify for the tournament at WesBanco Arena, with the top six seeds earning byes.

West Liberty is the No. 1 seed in the tournament after capturing its seventh regular season title with a 20-2 record in conference play. 

With a win on Saturday, West Virginia State secured the No. 2 seed. Charleston is the No. 3 seed, while Fairmont State is the No. 4. Notre Dame (No. 5) and Concord (No. 6) also earn first-round byes.

Alderson Broaddus is the No. 7 seed and will open the tournament against 10th-seeded Davis & Elkins. Glenville State is slotted eighth, and the Pioneers will take on ninth-seeded Wheeling in the first round.
