ORDER
Relocation of Precinct 9

Whereas, the Upshur County Commission is authorized by§ 3-1-7 to adjust certain matters regarding voting precincts; and

Whereas, the Upshur County Commission conducted a public hearing at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2021 to review and consider public comments; and

Whereas, the Upshur County Commission does hereby make reference that the relocation of Precinct 9 from the Courthouse Annex to City Hall will not result in changes to the current geographical boundaries of the precinct; and

Whereas, based upon the public hearing and staff recommendations, the Upshur County Commission does hereby determine that the relocation of Precinct 9 and transferring registered voters of said precinct is in the best interest of the public.

Now, therefore, it is the Order of the Upshur County Commission that Precinct 9 be relocated from the Courthouse Annex to the new location at City Hall.

Now, therefore be it resolved, the Upshur County Commission does hereby approve, adopt and enter this Order on the 14th day of October 2021.
