BUCKHANNON — The Elks Lodge No. 1736 is excited to host the Elks National Hoop Shoot Free Throw Contest this Saturday, Dec. 4.

The contest will take place at 10 a.m. at Stockert Youth & Community Center, said Lodge 1736 secretary Michael Livesay. Contestants may use the hoop shoot as a chance to get their names in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

“With the Elks Hoop Shoot having its 50th anniversary this year, we hope to have a great turnout to honor this long-standing Elks Program,” Livesay said.
