16 new COVID-19 cases identified Sunday in West Virginia

The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources announced Sunday that 16 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the Mountain State.

“The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) reports as of 5:00 p.m., on June 14, 2020, there have been 131,223 total confirmatory laboratory results received for COVID-19, with 2,290 total cases and 88 deaths,” according to the release.

New cases were reported Sunday in Greenbrier, Kanawha, Monongalia, Ohio and Raleigh counties.

About 624 West Virginia cases remain active, according DHHR data. Of the cases that are no longer active, 1,578 people have recovered and 88 have died.
