15 new cases of COVID-19, one additional death reported Saturday

A total of 15 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed by testing in West Virginia on Saturday, as well as one additional death, the DHHR announced.

“The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reports as of 5 p.m. on April 25, 2020, there have been 33,210 laboratory results received for COVID-19, with 1,025 positive, 32,185 negative and 33 deaths,” according to a press release.

The 33rd death attributed to COVID-19 is a 67-year old male from Kanawha County, the DHHR said.

New cases were reported Saturday in Berkeley, Braxton, Gilmer, Jackson, Jefferson, Kanawha, Marion, Ohio, Putnam and Wayne counties.

A total of 791 test results were reported Saturday, with a positive rate of 1.9 percent.
