Al Tucker takes top honors at the Strawberry Photo Exhibit.

Tucker and others collect awards at Color My World photo exhibit

Buckhannon Upshur Camera Club presented a “Color My World” themed exhibit in concert with ART26201 at the M.I.B. GALLERY in the Colonial Arts Center during the West Virginia Strawberry Festival and extending through mid- June.  The colorful works of Buckhannon Upshur Camera Club photographers Charmagne Ayotte, Carol Baxa Meese, Terry Beer Loudin, Karl Boone, Sharon Boone, Victoria Clutter, Kilsong Cox, Kathy Gregg, Gary McCoy, Sandra Miller, Steven Minardi, Anthony Ovies, Dawn Ovies, Bonne Riffle, Dietra Savage, JohnSimons, Dale Thomas, Al Tucker, and Janna Vaught were featured.

The gallery welcomed hundreds of visitors to the exhibit and invited folks to vote for their favorite photograph. The People’s Choice and Best of Show ribbon was awarded to Alan Tucker for his photo, “Blackwater River.” This is the second year in a row that Tucker has pulled off top honors.

Additional Strawberry Royalty ribbons were awarded to Steven Minardi of Rivesville for his “Ram Island Ledge Light,” Vicki Clutter of Wallace for her “Celestial Mist,” Al Tucker for his creative “Car Wash” and “Kay Lake Sunset,” as well as Sandra Miller for her “Old School” photograph.

The BUCC thanks all who visited the photography exhibit and with special thanks to ART26201. All events at the M.I.B. GALLERY are free and open to the public. Significant financial assistance for the Colonial Arts Center Rehabilitation project has been provided by the West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture and History; ART26201; Buckhannon Community Theatre; West Virginia Split Rail; and the FirstEnergy Foundation.
