WVWC’s Zolezzi named MEC Men’s Golfer of the Week

BRIDGEPORT – Charleston’s Beatrice Dietz has been named the Mountain East Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week, while West Virginia Wesleyan’s Mateo Zolezzi has been named the Men’s Golfer of the Week.

Dietz, a senior from Palm Coast, Florida, finished sixth at the Michael Corbett Fall Classic in Erie over the weekend. In the 36-hole tournament, Dietz shot an 84 in the opening round, before dropping her score of 73 (+1) in the second round.

Zolezzi, a first-year player for West Virginia Wesleyan, finished eighth at this weekend’s Bud Elwell Fall Classic in Erie. During the two-round, 36-hole event, Zolezzi shot +5 (77) in the first round, before shooting even-par (72) during Monday’s second round. He finished +5 for the tournament.
