WVWC cross country teams compete in regional meet

MANSFIELD, Pa. — The West Virginia Wesleyan cross country program competed at the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Championship on Saturday (Nov. 19) in Mansfield, Pa.

On the women’s side, Leigha Hall finished 47th running for a time of 23:42.9. Marimo Akita placed 62nd with a time of 24:12.6. Dakota Johnson finished 96th with a time of 24:59.6. Alyssa Kelleher finished in 134th with a time of 26:41.2.

On the men’s side, Cade Robinson finished 78th with a time of 32:00.3. Damon Martin finished with a time of 32:08.4 placing him in 82nd. Evan Pyles finished in 91st with a time of 32:28.8. Anthony Sanders (33:41.3), Cole Bracken (34:03.7), Christian Cimaglia (34:25.6), and Elijah Hannig (34:53.3) finished the day at 117th, 125th, 130th, and 135th. Overall, the men’s team finished in 18th place.
