WVWC cross country teams compete in Bill Lenox Invitational

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — The West Virginia Wesleyan cross country program competed at the Bill Lennox Invitational on Saturday (October 22) in Slippery Rock, Pa. The men`s team ran an 8K and finished 6th, while the women’s squad ran a 6K and finished 8th.

On the women’s side, Leigha Hall placed 10th with a time of 23:45 and ran for a pace of 6:22. Marimo Akika finished 24th with a time of 24:56. Dakota Johnson finished 35th with a time of 25:45. Alyssa Kelleher (26:43), Kristina Lesho (27:33) and Alexa Gorondy (28:32) finished 47th, 51st, and 54th.

On the men’s side, Anthony Sanders placed 14th with a time of 26:42 and ran for a pace of 5:22. Cade Robinson (27:20) and Jacob Defibaugh (27:22) finished 24th and 25th. Christian Cimaglia finished 38th with a time of 27:57. Evan Pyles (28:50), Elijah Hannig (28:53) and Cole Bracken (29:22) finished 43rd, 44th, and 47th.

The West Virginia Wesleyan cross country teams will travel to Wheeling, W.Va. to compete in the Mountain East Conference Championship on Saturday (Nov. 5).
