WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital welcomes New Year’s baby of 2025

St. Joseph’s Hospital welcomed Cora Grace Cunningham, the first baby born at the hospital in 2025, at 1:23 p.m. on January 1.

Born to proud parents Tatum Conner and David Cunningham II of Weston, West Virginia, Cora weighed 8 pounds 6.5 ounces and was 21 inches long. She was delivered at St. Joseph’s Hospital by Reba Harward, CNM.

Cora’s maternal grandparents are Jessica and Scottie Conner of Horner, and her paternal grandparents are David and Tina Cunningham of Weston.

Cora received a special welcome from St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary, including a basket of gift items and a gift certificate.

A Pickens man was arrested after a wreck led deputies to find an altered vehicle identification number tag on the truck he was driving. If convicted of the felony, he faces one to 10 years in prison.
