WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital to host casual healthcare recruiting coffee chat in Weston

Buckhannon, W.Va. — WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital is inviting healthcare professionals and students to stop by for a relaxed, come-and-go recruiting event on Thursday, March 19, offering an opportunity to connect one-on-one with hospital representatives over unlimited coffee and treats.

The event will take place at the Hampton Inn in Weston (Conference Room) from noon to 6:30 p.m., providing a flexible window for attendees to visit at their convenience. Rather than a formal job fair, this informal “coffee chat” style event is designed to encourage casual conversation, questions, and meaningful connections in a comfortable setting.

Hospital representatives will be available to discuss current and upcoming career opportunities for:

  • Registered Nurses (RNs)
  • Graduate Nurses
  • Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)
  • Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs)
  • Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)

Open positions are available across a variety of care settings, including Long Term Care, Inpatient Services, Emergency Department (ED), and outpatient clinics.

“We wanted to create a welcoming environment where people can simply sit down, enjoy a cup of coffee, and talk honestly about their career goals and what it’s like to work at St. Joseph’s,” said Angela Heavner, Senior Physician & Staff Recruiter. “This event is about conversation, connection, and exploring whether WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital is the right fit.”

No appointment or registration is required. Attendees are encouraged to bring resumes, ask questions, and learn more about career pathways, benefits, and professional growth opportunities within WVU Medicine.
