BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital and their Registered Dietitian (RD) Kelly Povroznik, is recognizing National Nutrition Month in March by promoting the importance of making informed food choices while developing both sound eating and physical activity habits. This month is an opportunity to remind the public that RDs are the most valuable and credible sources of timely and scientifically based food and nutrition information.
This year, the National Nutrition Month theme is “Fuel for the Future.” This theme highlights the importance of fueling our bodies at every age and eating with the environment in mind. Practice gratitude for your body by giving it the fuel it needs with sustainable foods. The hospital also recognizes Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day on Wednesday, March 8.
