BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital was recognized by the West Virginia Hospital Political Action Committee for exceeding their hospital fundraising goal for hospitals “60 Beds and Under.” The award was presented by the West Virginia Hospital Association during their annual Health Care Leadership Summit in November at The Greenbrier.
HOSPAC presented three awards and recognized 26 hospitals for meeting or exceeding their individual hospital goals. The “Over the Top” – 60 Beds and Under Award recognized St. Joseph’s Hospital for its excellence in exceeding its fundraising goal by over 500 percent.
HOSPAC is a membership political action committee whose mission is to support the improvement of healthcare in West Virginia and hospitals in their roles in improving healthcare. It is a voluntary, non-profit, non-partisan organization that provides financial support to candidates for West Virginia Legislature and statewide officials who are willing to protect public policies that preserve vital healthcare services.
