WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital and West Virginia Wesleyan College sponsoring 5K run/walk and health fair

WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital and West Virginia Wesleyan College are sponsoring a 5K run/walk and health fair to promote healthy living in our community.

The race will take place starting at the West Virginia Wesleyan College Fountain Loop on Saturday, October 5 at 9 a.m. Individuals can still register on the day of the race, starting at 8 a.m. The funds raised from the registration fee will benefit the School of Nursing at West Virginia Wesleyan College. Donations are still being accepted via the race website, or can be made the day of the event.

The Health Fair will take place in the space behind the Fountain Loop from 8 a.m. until noon. There will be more than 15 vendors in attendance to share education about healthy living and/or our community. Face painting will be offered free of charge. Zul’s will be available for purchase at $5 per cup, cash only.

The Health Fair is a free event open to the community. You do not have to participate in the race in order to attend the Health Fair.
