The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources announced that the following lakes and streams were stocked with trout during the week of May 25:

  • Laurel Fork (Randolph)
  • Little River West Fork Greenbrier River
  • North Fork South Branch
  • Opequon Creek
  • Potts Creek
  • Rhine Creek
  • Rock Cliff Lake
  • Rockhouse Lake
  • Shavers Fork (Bemis)
  • Shavers Fork (Lower Section)
  • Shavers Fork (Upper Section)
  • South Branch (Franklin)
  • South Branch (Smoke Hole)
  • Spruce Knob Lake
  • Spruce Laurel Fork
  • Summit Lake
  • Trout Run
  • Waites Run
  • West Fork Greenbrier River

The WVDNR stocks lakes and streams with trout from January 1 through May 31 each year. Trout stockings will resume for two weeks in October. For more information about trout stocking locations, anglers should check pages 6-7 in the Fishing Regulations Summary, available to download at WVdnr.gov/fishing-regulations.

All anglers 15 years and older are required to have a West Virginia fishing license and a valid form of identification while fishing in the state of West Virginia. Trout stamps are required for those fishing for trout. Licenses and stamps may be purchased online at WVfish.com.
