Wilbur Ray “Bill” Snider III

Wilbur Ray “Bill” Snider III, age 65, of French Creek, died Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at United Hospital Center. He was born on July 10, 1959, in Baltimore, Maryland, a son of the late Wilbur Ray Snider II and Helen Shirley Waddell Snider. On September 9, 1978, he was united in marriage to Lois Wayts Snider, who survives.

Also surviving are three sons: Wilbur Ray Snider IV and fiancée Terri McCann of French Creek, Rex Allen Snider and fiancée Samantha Gainer of Kanawha Head, and Shane Sprouse and wife Mandy of Buckhannon; nine grandchildren: Antonia and husband Paul Sipe II, Tailynn Snider, Wilbur Ray Snider V and girlfriend Brooklyn Sanders, Grace, Jacob, Jude, Keri, Mary, and Jaxson Snider, and Samantha Sprouse; one great grandchild Raylynn Snider; one brother Jimmy Snider of French Creek; four sisters: Lori Wetzel and husband Bob of Keyser, Debbie Warner of Buckhannon, Barbara McCartney and husband Dwayne of French Creek, and Pam Williams and husband Brian of French Creek; special friends: Terry and Jan Cain of French Creek, and Mary Bennett of French Creek; special niece Beth Ann Snider; special nephews Cameron and Cody Snider; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing and eating crabs. He loved spending time with his family and his pugs Baby Bear and Buster. Anyone who knew him knew that he was the best at giving very constructive criticism.

The family will receive friends from 4-8:00 PM on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel. The body will lie-in-state at Indian Camp Church on Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 12-1:00 PM – the funeral hour, with Pastor Terry Gower officiating. Interment will follow in Indian Camp Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
