Ketha Pearl Simmons

Ketha Pearl Simmons, age 83, of French Creek, WV, died Monday, June 30, 2025, at her home.

She was born October 15, 1941, in Tallmansville, WV, a daughter of the late Harold and Estalane Kelley Tenney.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Simmons; one son, Howard Scott Simmons; and one brother, Kenneth Tenney.

She is survived by one son, Todd Simmons, and girlfriend, Beverly Riffle of Hodgesville, WV; two daughters, Tonya Miller and husband Brook of Fairmont, WV, and Tammy Whitlock of Mount Airy, NC; ten grandchildren, Josh Curtis of French Creek; Chris Curtis and wife Haley of Parkersburg, WV; Taylor Kelley and husband Collin of Morgantown, WV; Jamie Poling of Rock Cave, WV; Rachel Ball and husband Adam of Adrian, WV; Jordyn Simmons of Waynesburg, PA; Addison Simmons of Buckhannon; Amber Dulaney and husband Spencer of Mount Airy; Logan Teter and wife Britt of Raleigh, NC; and Briana Locke and husband Samuel of Mount Airy; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Erma Henline and husband Phillip of Selbyville, WV, and Emma Michaels of Jane Lew, WV; brother-in-law Jim Simmons and wife Connie of French Creek, WV; and one aunt, Helen Lee and husband Kenneth of Buckhannon.

Mrs. Simmons was a homemaker, and she loved her grandchildren.

In honoring Mrs. Simmons’s wishes, she will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Frenchton Community Church.
