The West Virginia Wesleyan community mourns the loss of beloved professor Allison Hull, who passed away unexpectedly in her Buckhannon home on June 26, 2019. A 1987 graduate of Wesleyan, Allison had been a member of Wesleyan’s faculty since 2007 as an instructor in the biology department.

Allison was well known for her passion for teaching and her advocacy for students. Her office was regularly full of students seeking assistance with a concept, encouragement, a listening ear, and personal and career advice. As a faculty athletic advisor, she rarely missed a game despite the weather.

Her legacy will live on through the hundreds of students she guided to a path of career and personal success. In the annual awards ceremony this spring, Allison was recognized by the student senate as Faculty Member of the Year.

Allison graduated from Lewis County High School in 1983 and went on to attend Wesleyan College where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She earned a bachelor of science degree in 1987 and her master’s degree in exercise physiology at West Virginia University in 1989.
