Wesleyan tennis teams split with UVa.-Wise

BUCKHANNON — The West Virginia Wesleyan College men’s and women’s tennis teams hosted UVa.-Wise Friday at the newly surfaced Wood Street tennis courts. The men took the first set of matches 5-2, and the women lost in the late matches 6-1.
 
The men’s match set began with a 2-1 loss in doubles but in singles matches, the Bobcats found strength in each player’s endurance as four of the six matches went three sets.
 
On the women’s side, the Lady Bobcats were all but swept except for Dominique Jansen’s No. 1 singles win in two seven game sets.
