Wesleyan tennis teams earn sweep over Davis & Elkins

BUCKHANNON — Both of West Virginia Wesleyan College’s tennis teams secured spots in the Mountain East Conference tennis tournament, Saturday in Buckhannon.

The men defeated Davis and Elkins College 6-1 and the women squeezed by with a 4-3 victory over the Senators. For the women, it will be the first time the team has made it to the tournament since 2019.

In further action on Sunday, the women visited Seton Hill University and won 4-3 to stretch its record to 12-5 (4-1 MEC).

Both teams travel to Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia on Thursday, Apr. 18 for matches beginning at 3 p.m.
