Wesleyan men beat Kutztown, women fall in tennis action

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Wesleyan men’s and women’s tennis teams closed out the regular season Friday afternoon at home against Kutztown. The women fell 3-2 and the men were winners 7-0.

The Women
Omolade Aderemi and Cayley Symons picked up a 6-1 victory in the first doubles match. Megan Meyer and Raelyn Vance were defeated 6-1 in the second match.

In singles play, Aderemi and Symons picked up wins as Symons went three sets. Meyer and Vance finished the day off with losses as Kutztown won 3-2.

The Men
The men were dominate all day on their senior day as Camillo Salvi and Kevin Lin started it off with a 6-2 win. Kihiro Karasawa and Emanuel Mallya were victorious 6-0 and the team of Anthony McIntosh and Andreas Hald Dige won 6-3.

The domination continued in singles play with Karasawa winning 6-3 and 6-0 in the first match. Mallya, Salvi, McIntosh, Jonathan Lindstrand and Hald Dige capped off the singles wins for Wesleyan as the Bobcats cruised to the 7-0 win.
