Wesleyan cross country teams run well at West Liberty

BETHANY- The West Liberty Invitational was held last Thursday and the West Virginia Wesleyan cross country teams shine.

The men’s team placed first overall out of our schools. The average time for the men’s team in the 6k was 19:42. Top finishers for the men include Anthony Sanders Jr., placing third with a time of 18:55. Evan Pyles placed sixth with a time of 19:22.

The women’s team finished secnond overall with a average 5k time of 20:15.

For the women’s team, Leigha Hall, placed second overall with a time of 19:10. Taylor Hess was the second best runner for the women’s team placing 17th with a time of 20:21.

The men’s and women’s team will travel to Youngstown, Ohio for the Inaugural Alumni Meet on Saturday, Sept. 21 at Youngtown State University.
