BUCKHANNON — West Virginia Wesleyan College (WVWC) announced today that Kelsey Stowers will not return as head coach of its cross country and track and field programs.

“After a thorough review and evaluation of the cross country and track programs’ direction, growth and long-term needs, WVWC has decided to move in a new direction with the leadership of these programs,” said Kyle Hoffman, vice president for intercollegiate athletics. “WVWC thanks Coach Stowers for her years of service and wishes her the very best in her future endeavors.”

WVWC will immediately begin a national search for its next head coach.

Two Buckhannon parks closed for at least 30 days for sanitization
