W.Va. State Parks offering holiday deal on gift cards

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A West Virginia State Parks promotion that rewards shoppers for purchasing gift cards is available until Dec. 17 at 11:59 p.m. EST.

The deal is valid only on gift cards purchased online at WVstateparks.com and rewards shoppers who buy a $25, $50, $100 or $200 gift card by adding an extra amount to the card balance. Here’s how it works:

  • Purchase a $25 gift card and an extra $5 will be added to the card balance.
  • Purchase a $50 gift card and an extra $10 will be added to the card balance.
  • Purchase a $100 gift card and an extra $25 will be added to the card balance.
  • Purchase a $200 gift card and an extra $50 will be added to the card balance.

An offer code is not required at checkout. The additional amount will automatically be added to each gift card after orders are placed.

“As holiday shopping continues, we hope people consider West Virginia State Parks and give the gift of peaceful escapes and outdoor adventures,” said WV State Parks Chief Brad Reed. “We have several gift card options and this is an ideal gift because it allows loved ones to choose the parks and activities they’re most interested in. The gift card deal is very popular and one that shouldn’t be missed.”

WV State Parks gift cards are redeemable at any state park or forest at any time of the year and can be used on lodge rooms, cabin and cottage rentals, campsite reservations, golf season passes, gift shop purchases and meals at park restaurants. Gift cards purchased by the promotion deadline on Dec. 17 should arrive by Christmas. Placing an order as early as possible is recommended.

Details about the promotion can be found at WVstateparks.com/west-virginia-state-parks-gift-cards.
