VP and Branch Manager Connie Tenney retires from Citizens Bank

BUCKHANNON — Citizens Bank of West Virginia announced that Vice President and Branch Manager Connie R. Tenney retired this fall.

Tenney began her career in banking in 1974. She had 37 years of service with Citizens Bank upon her retirement on Friday, September 1, 2023.

A native of Buckhannon, Tenney is a member of the Buckhannon-Upshur High School Class of 1974. She is a graduate of the WV School of Banking and has attended numerous commercial, compliance, and lending classes/schools in her profession.

Tenney has been an active member of community organizations in Upshur County for decades, and currently is a member of the Buckhannon-Upshur Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Board of Directors for Davis Health System, Region VII Development and Planning, and the Upshur County Development Authority.

Married to William Tenney, they reside in Buckhannon.

“Connie’s contributions to banking and the Upshur County community have been significant throughout the years,” said Nathaniel S. Bonnell, Citizens President & CEO. “She has worked tirelessly to serve our customers and has most definitely earned her retirement. We wish her all the best in the next chapter of her life.”
