Saxophonist Evan David, known online as FoolishFrankie, and his band Arcadia will perform a public concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28 in West Virginia Wesleyan College’s Virginia Thomas Law Performing Arts Center.

Before the concert, the musicians will give students a master class at 4 p.m. in Loar Auditorium. Wesleyan’s music department is hosting the visit, according to a release from the college.

Arcadia’s members include Jonathan DiGuilian and Adam Bleil, both 2019 Wesleyan graduates. The five-member band is based primarily in Pittsburgh and plays video game soundtracks spanning decades.

The band uses its own arrangements and improvisation to mix jazz, electronic music and fusion. Its instruments include two wind synthesizers, and its performances often take it to Mario Kart tournaments.

David, originally from Pittsburgh, is now based in Nashville. Besides Arcadia, his work includes jazz trios and top 40 cover bands.
