Those who cannot travel to Thursday’s vaccine clinic in Elkins will be rescheduled

ELKINS, W.Va. — The Thursday, Feb. 18 COVID-19 Community Vaccination Clinic at the Phil Gainer Center in Elkins will take place as scheduled.

Any person unable to travel to the vaccination clinic due to inclement weather will be rescheduled for the next clinic date.

“We want to protect the safety of all persons, so please do not travel if the weather or roads are bad,” said Vaccination Clinic Coordinator Chad Ware.

“The local call center will contact those who do not arrive on Thursday.  We will reschedule anyone who could not attend,” Ware said.

The vaccine not used on Thursday will be stored.

If persons were to receive their second dose of the vaccine, they will have to wait. According to the CDC, the second dose can be administered up to six weeks, or 42 days, after the first.
