Upshur County Youth Soccer spring season canceled

Editor’s note: The following is a message from Upshur County Youth Soccer Association President Kevin Nicholson

We appreciate everyone’s patience as we have worked to sort out the situation with Upshur County Youth Soccer. As of this morning, UC Youth Soccer has set a return to play date of May 15th nationally.

As a board we met and considered all options. After considering the safety and well-being of our players, we have decided to cancel the spring season for youth soccer in Upshur County. We do not take this decision lightly but given our current circumstances and uncertain future, we feel this is the best course of action for the safety of our players.

We will transfer all registrations from the spring season to the fall season automatically. If you were a new player for spring 2020, there is no fee difference for the fall season. If you were a returning player in the spring of 2020, there will be a $30 difference that we will collect before the fall season.

If you do not wish to transfer your registration to fall 2020 season, please contact us before May 31, 2020 at upshurcountyyouthsoccerofwv@gmail.com to make other arrangements. Thank you all for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you all in the fall!
