The Upshur County FFA Chapter held a tailgate party on Friday evening before the football game against Philip Barbour County, welcoming members from both chapters to join in the fun. The event brought FFA members together to share stories, play games, and enjoy a time of school spirit.
This gathering also served as the September monthly meeting for the Upshur County FFA Chapter. It marked the first official meeting hosted by the newly elected officer team, who were excited to kick off the year with such a successful and strong turnout event. Members enjoyed music, food, cornhole, and plenty of laughs while strengthening friendships across county lines.
“Having Barbour County FFA members join us, along with administrators and teachers, made the tailgate more meaningful,” said Jaiden Fordyce, Upshur County FFA president. “It showed the strength of our community and how FFA brings people together.”
The tailgate emphasized the leadership and creativity of the new officer team, who worked hard to make the evening enjoyable for everyone. Events like these not only give members a chance to relax and have fun but also remind them of the importance of teamwork, leadership, and creating positive connections with others.
The evening highlighted the spirit of community, teamwork, and fun that FFA is all about. Both chapters look forward to continuing to build connections and creating more opportunities for members to come together.
