Upshur County Clerk announces important dates for the upcoming school bond election

Upshur County Clerk Carol Smith has prepared a list of important dates and deadlines for the January 15, 2022 school bond election.  She also reminds voters in Precinct 9 that the polling location has moved to City Hall.

Early Voting Schedule

  • Thursday, December 30, 2021 8:00 A.M. – Noon (1st day of Early Voting)
  • Friday, December 31, 2021 Holiday – closed
  • Saturday, January 1, 2022 9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. (1st Saturday of Early Voting)
  • Monday, January 3, 2022 8:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.
  • Tuesday, January 4, 2022 8:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.
  • Wednesday, January 5, 2022 8:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.
  • Thursday, January 6, 2022 8:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.
  • Friday, January 7, 2022 8:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.
  • Saturday, January 8, 2022 9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. (2nd Saturday of Early Voting)

December 27, 2021 is the last day to register or update voter information.

Absentee Voting

Application may be obtained at upshurcounty.org or govotewv.com.

The last day application to request an absentee ballot by mail may be accepted/received is Monday, January 10, 2022.
