Tonya Lynn Phillips

Tonya Lynn Phillips, 29, of the Walkersville community, died on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019, at her home. 

She was born February 14, 1990, in Buckhannon. She is survived by her father Bernard Eugene Phillips of Rock Cave and her mother Tressa Fay Friend Watson and stepfather Kerby Watson of Ireland, W.Va.

In addition to her parents, she is also survived by her fiancé Paul Wesley “Dutch” Schoolcraft of Walkersville; daughter Tamblynn Rachelle Schoolcraft at home; stepdaughters: Faith Emily Schoolcraft of Clarksburg, Latisha Jean Schoolcraft, Heather Ashley Schoolcraft and Sherrie Schoolcraft, all of Virginia; stepson Kenneth Wesley Schoolcraft and wife Kelcee of Buckhannon; one grandson, Liam Wesley Schoolcraft; six step granddaughters of Virginia; two brothers: Daniel Lee Phillips and girlfriend Jessica Keyser of Buckhannon and Rusty Watson of Ireland; two sisters:  Jenna Phillips of Rock Cave and Ashley Chipps and boyfriend Adam Green of Ireland; maternal grandmother Jessie Friend of Rock Cave; paternal grandmother Betty Phillips of Pa; step grandmother Sharon Dean; and several uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by maternal grandfather Henry Friend; paternal grandfather Russell Phillips; and uncle Harold Friend. 

Tonya enjoyed hunting, four-wheeler riding, swimming, going to the beach and dearly loved her family. 

Friends will be received at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., the funeral hour, with Pastor Ed McDaniels and Pastor David Jessie officiating. Following the services, the family is honoring her wishes for cremation. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral chapel to help with expenses.
